Spears Walks Out Of Channel 4
Interview
Britney Spears walked out of a
Channel 4 interview after the presenter said he thought she was nuts and asked
if she took diet pills.
Simon Amstell had gone to New York
for the Popworld interview, but his sense of humour was apparently missed by
the singer.
The Daily Mirror says instead of
laughing off the questions, Spears ended the interview.
It's reported by the newspaper that
she found his line of questioning "bitchy and confusing". The tape
of the interview is said to have been confiscated.
A spokesman for Spears said of the
interview: "It was a slight misunderstanding.
"Simon had asked Britney if she
had changed and she responded saying, "Why, do you think I've
changed?" To which he told her he thought she seemed a bit more nuts.
"The interview was cut shorter
than we hoped but everything's fine - Britney was happy."

Britney Spears Bares All For "Rolling
Stone"
If you thought Britney Spears' recent
performance at the NFL Kickoff in the nation's capitol was hot, then you'll
definitely want to check out the cover of the new Rolling Stone magazine that
hits newsstands on Friday (September 12th). Spears is wearing little more than
a devilish grin on the cover, and she also posed for photos that appear inside
the magazine.
In addition, Spears sat down for an
interview in which she dishes the dirt on Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst, and
her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

Spears collaborated with P. Diddy,
Moby, the Matrix, and R. Kelly on her upcoming album, due November 25. Moby
produced "Early Mornin'," the Matrix produced "Shadow,"
and Kelly penned "Outrageous"--all of which appear on the new set
along with the tracks "Me Against The Music" and "Touch of My
Hand". "I'd describe it as trance-y," Spears told
Rollingstone.com. "Kind of a vibe record. Something you could listen to
that's not so song structured."
The 21-year-old singer added,
"Of course I'm not doing '...Baby One More Time' and those big, massive
hits anymore. I think this record is where I'm at right now in my life. It's
sensual, it's sexual...I'm probably writing about that subconsciously because
I don't have that right now."

Britney Restrains "Big Fan"
Britney Spears went back to court
this week to get a restraining order against a Japanese man she claims has
been stalking her, her reps confirmed Friday.
Spears was granted a restraining
order on Monday against Masahiko Shizawa, a businessman who has allegedly been
too much of a slave 4 the popster.
This is the second time Britney has
been forced to sic her legal eagles on Shizawa.
Earlier this year, she retracted her
initial request for a restraining order after she reached an out-of-court
agreement with the man in which he promised to stop calling and faxing her
with remarks like "I'm chasing you."
But, according to Camp Britney,
Shizawa "violated the terms," forcing her to obtain a permanent
restraining order.
According to a publicist for Spears,
the 43-year-old Shizawa has not given up his fixation on the 21-year-old
Madonna smoocher. In recent months, he has resumed faxing and writing notes to
the platinum popster.
In one missive, Shizawa writes,
"There remains serious personal issues to be resolved [between us],"
according to the syndicated TV show Celebrity Justice. Another message reads,
"I hope to find a job around her."
Such evidence was enough to sway Los
Angeles Superior Court Judge Alan B. Haber, who barred Shizawa from contacting
Spears and coming within 300 yards of the entertainer. The judge has set a
court date to decide whether to make the order permanent on Sept. 29.
When Spears first lashed out at
Shizawa last December, the man's attorney, Simon Robert Hiller, maintained
that his client has been mislabeled a stalker, when in fact the intimate
letters, photos and unsolicited visits were the actions of an "avid
fan" and said the request for a restraining order was the result of a
"cultural misunderstanding."
The so-called misunderstanding
included, according to Britney's peeps, Shizawa "tracking" Spears
beginning in September 2002, shadowing her from her homes in Los Angeles,
where he allegedly tried to bust in, and New York to her divorced parents'
domiciles in Louisiana, all the while sending her hundreds of love letters and
photos.
Since Spears filed her original
request, Shizawa's visa has expired and he has been forced to return to his
hometown of Yokohama, Japan. Hiller, who called his client a "smart
guy," said the computer programmer hopes to return to the U.S. once his
legal woes are resolved.

Britney Checked With Her Sister Before
Smooching Modonna
BRITNEY SPEARS called her little
sister JAMIE LYNN before smooching with MADONNA at the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS
to make sure she wouldn't be upset by what she saw on TV.
The pop star was concerned the
impressionable 13-year-old would be appalled if she saw her big sister locking
lips with Madonna, but Jamie Lynn understood the kiss was just make believe.
She says, "She was like, 'Jamie
Lynn, don't be mad at me, but this is what I am going to do.'
"I was like, 'I'm not mad at
you. I think it's cool.' My sister is so not a lesbian. It's called
acting."

Britney's Mom And Dad Liked Modonna Kiss
Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS was stunned
to discover her wholesome parents liked watching her sexy lesbian kiss with
MADONNA.
Images of the 21-year locking lips
with the MATERIAL GIRL at the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS in New York last month (August
28th) were beamed around the world and made the covers of countless newspapers
and magazines - creating massive controversy over the formerly virginal
singer's behaviour.
And Britney confesses she was
terrified her parents JAMIE and LYNNE would disapprove of her bisexual
behaviour - but was relieved to find they actually enjoyed the performance.
She says, "I was really, really
nervous, but my mom liked it, and, weirdly enough, my dad thought it was fine
too."

Britney Goes "Sensual And
Sexual"
Pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS is
promising her new album will be a deeply "sensual and sexual"
affair.
The LP, which includes collaborations
with R KELLY, SEAN 'P DIDDY' COMBS and MOBY, is her first release in a
traumatic two years that have seen the break-up of her parents' marriage, her
split from long-term boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and tabloid allegations of
sexual indiscretions with a string of celebrity suitors.
And Britney embraces shedding former
wholesome, virginal image - marked in startling clarity by her lingering
onstage smooch with MADONNA at the MTV VMA awards last month (August 28th) -
with her much-anticipated new album.
Her joint effort with controversial
soul star Kelly, a track called OUTRAGEOUS, lives up to the promise of its
title. Lyrics include the line, "Oh, it's so hot, and I need some air,
boy, don't stop, 'cause I'm halfway there."
A collaboration with Moby shows
further signs of a more mature Britney. The singer describes EARLY MORNIN' as
being about "going out at night and feeling like s*** the next day".
But Britney insists her new sexier
image isn't a reflection of a steamy personal life at the moment.
She says, "Of course I'm not
doing Baby One More Time and those big, massive hits anymore.
"I think this record is where
I'm at right now in my life. It's sensual, it's sexual. I'm probably writing
about that subconsciously because I don't have that right now."

Britney's Bodyguard Snaps Over
Grandfather Chat
BRITNEY SPEARS' minder MAURICE
ELDRIDGE has been accused of tearing up a newspaper reporter's notes after
catching him chatting with the sexy singer's grandmother.
Elderly JUNE A SPEARS, 73, was
reportedly enjoying an innocent conversation about fishing with WASHINGTON
POST journalist REILLY CAPPS when Eldridge spotted him and went over.
According to British tabloid THE
DAILY SPORT, the burly minder proceeded snatched notes made by Capps and tore
them up.
When Capps and his newspaper demanded
an apology from the OOPS!...I DID IT AGAIN star's people, they reportedly
received back the destroyed notes.

Britney Goes Trance With Moby
Britney
Spears has enlisted Moby, the Matrix and R. Kelly to produce tracks on her
next album, due in November. She describes the new material as a departure
from her previous three records.
"I'd
describe it as trance-y," Spears says. "Kind of a vibe record.
Something you could listen to that's not so song structured." After
getting personal on her last album, 2001's Britney, Spears says the new album
is a little more distant. "This record is definitely personal to
me," she says. "But it's not shockingly personal. I think once you
start being so self-serving with your music . . . I did a little bit of that
with my last record, and I really didn't want to put myself out there that
much."
Spears has spent much of past year in
New York working on record. The Moby collaboration, "Early Mornin',"
sounds like the aftermath of one of Spears' much publicized late nights at
bars. "It's about going out at night and feeling like shit the next
day," she says.
The Matrix production and songwriting
team contribute "Shadow," which sounds like a mid-Nineties Aerosmith
ballad, while Kelly wrote and produced "Outrageous." And the lyrical
fare is considerably less innocent than that found on Oops! . . . I Did It
Again, with lines like: "Oh, it's so hot, and I need some air/Boy, don't
stop, 'cause I'm halfway there . . ."
"Of course I'm not doing '. . .
Baby One More Time' and those big, massive hits anymore," Spears says.
"I think this record is where I'm at right now in my life. It's sensual,
it's sexual . . . I'm probably writing about that subconsciously because I
don't have that right now."
