The 20-year-old is heartbroken after splitting from the hunk and is begging Justin to take her back - but so far every phone call has ended in tears. 

The stunner was so devastated by the split, she even cut short her CROSSROADS premiere in France to fly home to her Mom. 

A close family member says, "Every time Justin talks to her on the phone it degenerates into tears and arguments. 

"The problem is, Britney thinks the solution is easy. She wants to get back together, but I think Justin feels it's more serious than just picking up where they left off." 

But Justin doesn't seem to be too upset by the split - he reportedly blew $200,000 (GBP142,000) in Las Vegas while on a 24-hour gambling and booze spree with his bandmates.
 

British tabloid THE STAR reveals that the raunchy video to her single SLAVE 4 U infuriated 'N SYNC band member Justin so much that he split with her. 

The reason behind the break-up was revealed when Britney was interviewed by British TV presenter RICHARD BLACKWOOD for his new series on satellite channel SKY ONE when he visited the blonde beauty on set of the new AUSTIN POWERS movie. 

Richard says, "She told me she wasn't happy with her SLAVE 4 U video being so raunchy. 

"She can't bear to watch it and implied that she and Justin Timberlake argued about it. I can't believe Justin's split up with her when she looks like that. 

"They were madly in love when she initially spoke to me and said they'd just bought a house together.
 

Splitting from *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake three weeks ago Britney has been spotted dirty-dancing with a guy for three hours at Miami's Opium bar.

One looker told the Sun: "She was bombarded with champagne sent over by suitors. One guy really caught her eye and she gave him her phone number." 

He blames it on her taking too much exercise.

But the star of the forthcoming film About A Boy would still jump at the chance of taking her out on a date.

Grant told The Sun: "I wish Britney wouldn't go on exercise machines so often, it can give women big thighs."

He says he would prefer to go out with Britney rather than Madonna if he had a chance.

"I love them both, of course," he said.

"But if I had to decide who to ask on a date, I'd have to say Britney. She's special."

A close Spears family member told me that Britney, 20, is heartbroken and desperate for them to give it one more chance. 

But every call she makes to N'Sync star Justin ends in rows and tears. 

My source, speaking to me from Britney's home in Louisiana, said: "Every time Justin talks to her on the phone it degenerates into tears and arguments. 

"The problem is Britney thinks the solution is quite easy. She wants to get back together but I think Justin feels it is a bit more serious than just picking up where they left off. They haven't seen each other for a while and were planning to meet up at the end of this month. But Justin has told her she should calm down a little bit more before they meet. He doesn't want arguments and to be honest I don't think he believes that they can make it work any more." 

The childhood sweethearts split up three weeks ago and since then Justin has been enjoying his single status. 

Partying 

He has been partying with his pop band colleagues in Las Vegas and reportedly blew £150,000 on a 24-hour gambling and booze spree. 

They dined on lobster, caviar and champagne, then lost heavily gambling before partying with a crowd of strippers. 

An onlooker said: "Every few minutes Justin would throw $100 bills in the air and shout God Bless America!" 

I'm sure deep inside he's pining for Britney, though!  

The "Crossroads" star hired a top London spa to prepare for the glitzy premiere of her new film.

According to a source, "She wanted to swap the noise of the crowds with Tibetan chimes and soothing music and to look her best at the premiere." Britney had a £4,700 a night suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for two nights and wanted to relax after her supposed split from Justin Timberlake.

She was also reported to have splurged on luxury treatments including a massage with hot, oiled stones, a purifying program and an aromatherapy facial to give her life "balance and harmony." -- SP 

Timberlake's mother, Lynn Harless, tells People magazine that her son and Britney are just having problems. She thinks that they are just two kids who have intense feelings for each other, both good and bad.

Harless says that their biggest problem right now is their schedules and they don't get to be together that often. She says that they aren't like normal kids who can sit down and say "Let's talk about this."

But even Harless isn't sure if they'll get back together. "They're in love one minute, not in love the next," she says.
 

JENNIFER LOPEZ 

Only a world-class diva would get banned from The Ivy (for booking and unbooking tables three times and demanding a "security sweep"), disrupt the organisation of an 11 September fundraising record (she needed a 45ft trailer with a CD player and video, plus a white dressing-room with white roses and white curtains) and clog the Sanderson hotel's foyer on her last visit to London (must have been those 66 suitcases). Nor was the BBC prepared for her 90 staff before her appearances on Parkinson and Top of the Pops (not to mention the 10 dressing rooms). On film sets, she is even more demanding: the National Enquirer reported last year that her bodyguard must remain within four feet of her and call her "No 1". She also insists on being driven in a black Mercedes by a male driver, and issues "strict orders to cast and crew that 'No 1' is never to be looked at or spoken to directly". 

BRITNEY SPEARS

Britney refused to greet fans in Leicester Square last month at the premiere of her film, Crossroads, and during her Top of the Pops appearance in January she forced BBC executives to move their cars, apparently to give her 

a shorter walk. But it's her tour requirements that show Britney at her most demanding. She requires in her dressing room: "two six-foot couches, two easy chairs, a clean and odour-free carpeted or rugged floor, a large coffee table, two floor lamps and four cushioned folding chairs." She needs her own phone line, but woe betide the promoter if anyone calls in by mistake: "any incoming calls will result in a $5,000 fine". In case Britney gets the munchies, she requires two boxes of Pop Tarts, a box of Captain Crunch and Fruit Loops, and a "bowl of fresh tuna salad, with Hellmann's mayo, eggs, relish and albacore tuna only!" 

MARIAH CAREY 

Mariah required a litter of puppies and kittens on set for an MTV appearance, and arrived for a GMTV interview with her own sofa. And just in case she gets thirsty when she's touring, her backstage demands leave no room for confusion: "Please note that 16oz plastic bottles of Evian are the only acceptable bottles of water for the dressing rooms," her contract states. She also requires a tea service for eight ("must use Poland Springs water"), a Honey Bear pack of honey, a box of bendy straws and two air purifiers. Then there are the meals: "Lunch will commence approximately five hours after load-in and should continue for four hours." It must consist of hot soup ("tomato, black bean, minestrone"), assorted salads, as well as several hot and cold dishes ("deli sandwiches, including wafer-thin honey-roasted turkey breast, hamburgers, French fries, chicken pot pies, ribs, etc"). And here's a coincidence: Mariah's tuna "must be albacore solid white in water". What a lot Mariah and Britney have in common. 

PUFF DADDY (P DIDDY)

J-Lo's former beau, Sean "Puff Daddy" Coombs, clearly learned a few tricks from his ex. He expects at least 204 towels and 20 bars of soap in the tour dressing room, and he tells his backstage caterers that "all food and ice must be inspected for hair, package, paper, etc, and all catering staff must wear hair nets". If you really want to make him angry, let him see a bottle of juice rather than a carton - for Puff is, it seems, a prima donna when it comes to beverages. Here is what he likes to drink backstage: "1 gallon of milk; 1 gallon of fresh squeezed orange juice; 1 gallon of apple juice; 12 cases of Tropicana Twisters; 12 cases of spring water; 2 bottles of Hennessy cognac; 1 bottle Alize; 1 bottle of Cristal champagne; 1 bottle of Dom Perignon." And all "iced down for 20 minutes prior to serving" in a large, plastic-lined dustbin. 

ELTON JOHN

Elton's 12-page backstage rider specifies his every preference, from the dressing-room flowers ("NO chrysanthemums, lilies, carnations or daisies") to the buffet table ("absolutely NO cold cuts"). Unlike Puff Daddy, Elton requires just 74 towels, but these are not, of course, to be used by the drivers of his two limousines, his luggage van or his laundry cars (all washing to be back by 5pm, naturally). But there's one thing he really hates: "Elton John is not accustomed to [staff] wearing their passes once they have arrived backstage. Security is to be briefed [as] to who these people are."  

The stunning singer, 20, went topless during a boat trip, taking care to keep her boobs covered. 

But a saucy male pal seemed keen to talk her into sailing hands off. 

Britney and a group of friends were sunbathing on the deck of a luxury cruiser off Miami Beach in Florida. 

She put them all in the shade in sexy tight orange shorts, dark glasses and a New York Yankees baseball cap. 

The relaxed day at sea was a far cry from Britney’s troubles in Britain earlier this week. She was booed after snubbing fans at the London premiere of her movie Crossroads. 

But the curvy star soon bounces back — as these pictures reveal.

ET Reporter: Tara Reid sat down and talked to me about her breakup with Carson Daily and how she helped her good friend Britney Spears get through a breakup of her own. Now Tara Reid talks to ET about the pain of relationships being played out in public.

Tara Reid: There's nothing worse than a broken heart. It's hard enough to deal with it on your own, nevermind everyone staring at you like "oh they just broke up, is she okay?"

ET Reporter: Following her breakup with Justin Timberlake, Britney reportly drowned her sorrows with Tara at a couple of LA hotspots. Reid who broke off her engagment to Carson last year also knows a thing or two about public splits and living in the media spotlight.

Tara Reid: I feel like sometimes journalist have written things about me that aren't true. I said this one quote in Maxium, I said you know "I work hard, party hard!" Well of course they took off the work hard. "Tara parties hard!" I'm like you know come on guys must you!
